Through direct observation of teachers we can begin to understand which teaching practices contribute most to student learning. Understanding what these practices are and what measurement tools best capture these practices will allow us to move forward and help teachers improve their practice.  If you teach mathematics or English language arts middle school classes in one of our participating schools, we hope you will join the study.
